Copyright Policy

The copyright policy of the journal outlines how the Ejthad for Scientific Research handles the intellectual property rights of published research. This policy aims to strike a balance between protecting authors' rights and ensuring the widest possible dissemination of their scientific work, in line with the journal's open access policy.

Principles of the journal's copyright policy:

1. Copyright Transfer: Upon acceptance of a research paper for publication in Al-Ijtihad Journal of Scientific Research, the author(s) must transfer the copyright of the research paper to the journal. This typically occurs through a copyright transfer agreement form signed by the corresponding author. This transfer grants the journal the exclusive right to publish, distribute, and make available the research in various formats (paper and electronic), as well as to preserve and archive it.

2. Authors' Rights: Despite the transfer of copyright to the journal, authors retain certain rights to their work, including:

  • Intellectual Property Rights: Authors remain the owners of the intellectual property rights to their work.

  • Personal Use Rights: Authors have the right to copy and use portions of their work for their own educational or research purposes, including sharing it with their students and colleagues at conferences and for non-commercial presentations.

  • Deposit Rights in Institutional Repositories: The journal encourages authors to deposit the final post-print version of their research in their institutional or subject repositories after publication.

6. Reuse Rights under Creative Commons License: All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution International (CC BY ND) license. The licensee has the right to publish and distribute the content used in an exact copy and may not make modifications to it.

3. Journal Rights: By transferring copyright, Al-Ijtihad Journal for Scientific Research has the right to:

  • Publish and distribute the research in various formats (print and digital).

  • Preserve and archive the research to ensure long-term access.

  • Include the research in various databases and indexes.

  • Take the necessary measures to protect the copyright of the research.

  • Formatting and preparing the research for publication in accordance with the journal's standards.

4. Reuse Terms: Reuse of any part of the material published in the journal is subject to the terms of the Creative Commons CC BY ND license. Anyone reusing the content must credit the original author and publisher (Al-Ijtihad Journal of Scientific Research).

5. Commercial Reuse Requests: Any commercial reuse of the journal's content requires express written permission from the journal. Commercial reuse requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.

This Copyright Policy aims to support the dissemination of scientific knowledge while recognizing the rights of authors and protecting the integrity of the content published in the journal.
