Author Self-Archiving Policy

Ejthad for Scientific Research believes in the importance of making published research widely available. Therefore, the journal encourages authors to archive copies of their self-published work according to the following conditions:

Types of copies permitted to be archived:

1. Preprint: Authors are permitted to publish the original version of their research (submitted to the journal before the peer review process) on:

  • Their personal websites.

  • Their academic institution's servers.

  • Non-commercial open repositories (such as arXiv or bioRxiv).

  • It must be clearly indicated that this version is a preprint and is under review at Al-Ijtihad Journal of Scientific Research. It is recommended to include a link to the journal's website or the research submission page.

2. Post-print/Accepted Manuscript: Authors are permitted to publish the accepted manuscript (which has been peer-reviewed and edited but not yet formatted or watermarked) on:

  • Their personal websites.

  • Their academic institutions' servers.

  • Institutional or subject-based open-access non-commercial repositories.

  • It must clearly indicate that this is the accepted manuscript and will soon be published in Al-Ijtihad Journal for Scientific Research, and include a link to the DOI of the published article on the journal's website as soon as it is available.

3. Publisher's Version/Version of Record: Authors are permitted to publish a link to the DOI of the published article on Al-Ijtihad Journal for Scientific Research on:

  • Their personal websites.

  • Their academic institutions' servers.

  • Institutional or subject-based open-access non-commercial repositories.

  • Social and academic media platforms.

Self-archiving conditions:

  • No Embargo: The journal allows the archiving of the post-print version (the version accepted for publication) immediately upon acceptance for publication.

  • Reference to publication in the journal: In all cases of self-archiving, authors must clearly indicate that the work has been submitted/accepted/published in the Journal of Scientific Research and provide a link to the published article on the journal's website as soon as it becomes available.

  • Licensing: Self-archiving must comply with the Creative Commons (CC BY ND) license under which the article is published on the journal's website.

Goals of the Self-archiving policy:

  • Increase the visibility and impact of research: By allowing authors to archive copies of their work, the journal contributes to increasing the dissemination of its research and its reach to a wider audience.

  • Support for open access: This policy complements the journal's open access policy to ensure that scientific knowledge is accessible to all.

  • Promoting knowledge exchange: Self-archiving facilitates the exchange of research among researchers and fosters scientific collaboration.

Ejthad for Scientific Research encourages its authors to take advantage of this policy to increase the impact of their research and contribute to the wider dissemination of scientific knowledge.
