This study aimed to investigate the impact of cooperative teaching methods on developing leadership behavior among students in selected faculties of physical education in Libya. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, and the study sample consisted of 30 faculty members from various Libyan universities. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire of 31 items was used, covering four main dimensions: self-confidence, effective communication, decision-making, and leadership ability. Data were analyzed statistically using the T-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Cohen’s d. The findings revealed a significant positive impact of cooperative teaching methods on enhancing students’ leadership behavior, particularly in improving self-confidence, communication skills, decision-making, and leadership capacity. The study recommended integrating cooperative teaching strategies into physical education programs at universities and providing training for faculty members to apply them effectively in order to foster students’ leadership qualities.
