Authorship policy

The journal Ejthad for Scientific Research adheres to clear and transparent criteria for identifying authors of research submitted for publication. This policy aims to ensure appropriate recognition of individual contributions to the research work and to maintain academic integrity. The journal's authorship policy is based on internationally recognized guidelines, such as those issued by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Authorship Criteria:

All individuals listed as authors on a research paper must meet the following four criteria:

1. Substantial contribution to the conception and design of the work, or to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data. The author must have an active role in the research process.

2. Drafting the work or critically revising it for significant intellectual content. Simply reading the paper or providing general comments is not sufficient.

3. Final approval of the version to be published. All authors must have reviewed and approved the final version before submitting it for publication.

4. Responsibility for all aspects of the work and ensuring its accuracy and integrity. Authors must be prepared to take responsibility for aspects of their work and contribute to answering any questions or criticisms related to the research.

Important Notes on Authorship:

  • Providing funding or general supervision of a research group alone is not a sufficient criterion for authorship: Supervisors must have made a substantial contribution to the other aspects mentioned above to be listed as authors.

  • All individuals who meet the criteria for authorship must be listed as authors: No one who has significantly contributed to the work may be excluded without their consent.

  • A Correspondence Author must be identified: This author is responsible for communicating with the journal during the submission, peer review, and post-publication process, and for ensuring that all authors approve the submitted and final version.

  • Any other contributions: (such as assistance with data collection, statistical analysis, or technical support) must be noted in the "Acknowledgments" section at the end of the manuscript, with permission from the named individuals.

  • Changes in Authorship: Any addition, deletion, or change in the order of authors after submission of the manuscript requires written consent from all original authors and the author(s) to be added or deleted. The editorial board will review these requests and make the appropriate decision.

  • Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity or interpretation of the manuscript. A special section for disclosing conflicts of interest is included in the submission form.

The journal Ejthad for Scientific Research adheres to this policy to promote transparency and accountability in the authorship process and ensure that scholarly contributions are fairly valued. Authors are responsible for adhering to these guidelines when submitting their manuscripts for publication.
